Pine Cone Hill

Pine Cone Hill

More and more the upstairs is beginning to take shape. Now the super, fabulously large display cabinet is painted & in place….the bedding is moving into its new home…and we are adjusting and adding new details. We’re keeping our fingers crossed the merchandise will all arrive and be ready for the big day – July 2! I’m so excited, and nervous – hoping everyone enjoys the expansion and will continue to support The Silver Barn as we bring more wonderful things to our customers and community.

Magnolia Belles 2009

Columbus celebrates spring with the Magnolia Belles, tour of the vintage homes and all kinds of activities. This year, Silver Barn had the honor of sponsoring one of the belles, Lindsay O’Neil. Congratulations to all the Magnolia Belles 2009.

Ugly!

Ugly!

One of my new favorite redo jobs! This sad little sink is one of 3 we bought to use as props for our store’s expansion and focus for our bath products. Thanks to Krylon – the sink is rejuvenated – and for all my New Orleans/LSU friends…this fleur’s for you!

Le Cadeaux Dinnerware

Le Cadeaux Dinnerware

Summer in Texas is different than summers up in Chicago…DUH! But, there is something that is the same – everyone loves to entertain outside but can never find cute dinnerware, so paper plates & cups become the only resource for your entertaining pleasure. Enter our new favorite – Le Cadeaux dinnerware. From trays to dinnerware and glassware, these melamine pieces will make any party outstanding. Everyone that comes in our store is amazed they are melamine and won’t break. Well, they will if the kids start using them for frisbees or target practice with that b.b.gun! So, that is pretty darn sturdy. Plus, it goes in the dishwasher, another plus, and because the glasses are made of high grade poly-carbonate they won’t crack like regular plastic glasses. Another plus, the prices are great. From $5.95 for a double old-fashioned glass to $40 for the trays.
